Residential Services - Child & Youth Workers

Qualifications:

• Experience working with youths in a residential group home setting
• Skilled in counseling, behaviour management, group facilitation, and knowledgeable regarding adolescent development and team work
• Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Driver’s licence and abstract
• First Aid/CPR required
• CPIC

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and on-going therapeutic supervision and care to residents including:
• Basic daily care of residents, including health care and safety
• Behaviour management of residents through role modeling, positive reinforcement, utilizing therapeutic relationship and education
• Group work and individualized plans of care
• Work co-operatively as part of a team
