Youth Custody & Detention - Youth Workers
Qualifications:
-
Experience with young persons/troubled youth in an open and/or secure custody and detention facility

Skilled in counseling, behaviour management, group facilitation, and team work
-
CYW / COMMUNITY & JUSTICE Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
-
Driver’s licence, First Aid/CPR required

Responsibilities:
Provide direct and on-going therapeutic supervision and care to residents including:
-
Basic daily care of residents, including health care and safety
-
Behaviour management of residents through cognitive-behavioural methods, modeling, positive reinforcement, utilizing therapeutic relationship and education

Group work and individualized case management planning
-
Work co-operatively as part of a team
