Kennedy House operates a co-ed day treatment classroom in Toronto for young people who do not require residential placement, but are having significant educational difficulties. Presenting problems include a history of school refusal and behavioural problems, often secondary to learning difficulties. This small classroom provides a safe environment, counselling and other support, an incentive program and is supported by a Social Worker. In addition to working on school credits, students receive one period a day of care and treatment delivered by the classroom child and youth worker.

Our treatment classrooms, also located in community schools, primarily service our residential group homes, but can, from time to time, also provide "reverse integration." This allows a student of the home school in which we are located, to attend our program for part of a day, in order to receive additional support of both an educational and emotional nature. In turn, our own clients can also be integrated into the home school for partial re-integration.
